Highampton Local History Group

ABOUT US

The Group was formed on 23 April 2009 to enable members to learn about all aspects of the history of the local area and to create a permanent record for the future including the documentation and safe storage of historical documents and photographs already held relating to Highampton and the adjoining hamlets of Odham, Tottleigh and Pulworthy.

We now meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in the village hall.  We have a varied programme of talks and visits designed to attract all ages.  Each meeting offers something of interest combined with a pleasant social event.

The programme may be subject to occasional change, so please check in the parish noticeboard located by the postbox on the main road through the village, on the noticeboard by the Village Hall, on the website under Next Meeting or with one of the officers on the contacts page.

Yearly membership is £10.00. Non members are asked to make a contribution of £2.00 each which goes towards the cost of running the Group.  Free coffee or tea and biscuits are provided at meetings.
